Electric Vehicle Grants
Claim up to €600 towards the purchase and installation of an electric vehicle home charger.
The SEAI run a grant scheme for home owners looking to install a EV charger at home. Anyone who buys and installs a EV car charger after 1st Jan 2018 is eligible. For further information on the SEAI grant check out our Frequently Asked Questions below.
The car must be parked off-street and the EV car charger must be connected to the fuse board of the home of the applicant. The vehicle must be registered for private use to the applicant and to the address of the property where the EV car charger is being installed.
Which Charger To Use?
Most electric cars sold recently in Ireland and UK support Mode 3 Charging and a Type 2 Cable.
We also can supply and install Type 1 chargers tethered or un-tethered.
