The Non-Domestic Microgen Grant (NDMG)

(NDMG) provides financial assistance to help businesses and other sectors to install solar PV panels to generate electricity on site. This technology reduces commercial electricity costs and increases security of supply, while enhancing a positive sustainability image.

Enhanced rate until 6 July 2027: grant support under the NDMG has been temporarily increased to an effective 45% of eligible costs, raising the maximum grant to €325,200. The enhanced rate applies only to new applications made from 6 October 2026 — existing applications cannot be increased, and the nine-month application window closes on 6 July 2027.

EXEED Grant

The EXEED Certified Grant Scheme is designed for organisations who are planning an energy investment project. Grant support of up to €3,000,000 per project is available.

Accelerated Capital Allowances

The Accelerated Capital Allowances: the ACA is a tax incentive aimed at companies paying corporation tax, sole-traders and non-corporates. The scheme allows them to write off 100% of the purchase value of qualifying energy efficient equipment against their profit in the first year of purpose. Solar PV systems can qualify for the scheme provided the model of solar panel is registered on the Triple E Register.
